FORT WAYNE, In. – The Brescia University women’s basketball team faced off against the #2 seed, Saint Francis (Ind.), in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament. The women’s team fell to the Cougars, 84-56, to end their season. The Lady Bearcats finished 24-8 on the season barring an impressive two-year turn around.

Women's Basketball Travels to #2 Saint Francis (Ind.) For NAIA Tournament First Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the teams and bracket for the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy. The 64-team bracket will begin with the First and Second Rounds at host sites nationwide on March 13-14. The 2026 NAIA Second Round winners will meet in Sioux City, Iowa, at the NAIA Championship final site presented by Bomgaars and Sterling. The 45th annual championship occurs at the Tyson Events Center from March 19-24.

RIO GRANDE, Oh. – The Brescia University women’s basketball team fell on the road in the River States Conference Championship game to defending champions, Rio Grande, 83-64. The Lady Bearcats record runs to 24-7 after the matchup against the #8 team in the nation. BU will look forward to the NAIA National Tournament after making their first appearance in 18-years.
